Cats in Hats
Apparently this is a thing. I'm going to have to be very careful here or I might suddenly find that it's tomorrow morning and I've done nothing but look at cats in hats. Here are a few selections to get you started. For more, check out Shironekoshiro on YouTube.

Downton Sixbey: Episode One
At least I have good parody to watch while I'm waiting for the next season of Downton Abbey. And of course, there are always the Downton Abbey paper dolls...

Man Pants
Recently I spent a little time in Gallery 276 of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. In it is an installation called Figure/Fabric/Fantasy: Selections from the Jean S. and Frederic A. Sharf Collection of Fashion Drawing.
I'm going to have to say no to these pants. I'm very grateful that (a) they are not currently considered fashionable and (b) I was much too young when they were considered fashionable to ever have considered wearing them.

From the Mother of the Irreverent Psychologist
The mother of the Irreverent Psychologist sent in this humorous clip this morning. She thought it was appropriate seeing that we are getting our first major snow of the year in New England.

Validation: Don't Forget to Smile Smile Smile
This one has had me laughing all morning.
One of my best friends and I meet up every five weeks for dinner and a haircut. We create quite the scene at the beauty parlor. We ought to charge admission. Anyway, each time we go I present my parking ticket and ask to be validated. My friend, who is also a psychologist, always chimes in with some sort of witty validation. "You are worthy Jason, you are a good person." Or the obvious "Your hair looks marvelous." The people at the reception desk just roll their eyes at us.
Well imagine my surprise when a friend of mine from grad school sent me this film short with the actors TJ Thyne and Vicki Davis. My friend and I had the idea first!

Whopper Face
There are some advertisements I would not want to see. This would be one of them. The idea of a Whopper wrapper with my face on it filling up a landfill somewhere is less than appealing. Of course, that might be one very effective way to increase recycling, or at least make it easier to locate people who litter and prosecute them.
Irreverent Psychologist in the News
Apparently, I have developed a rather large following in Sweden. The clip has a lengthy intro, so be sure to watch all of it.

Consultation
In a historic event, Maggie the therapy dog and Dr. Freud met to consult on a case. Before agreeing to disagree, Maggie growled, tweaked Freud's nose, and buried his glasses in the corner of a chair.
